Kansas Arts Foundation, a non-profit corporation organized to foster the arts in the State of Kansas as outlined in its Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws. Included in its objects and purposes is providing grants, education and other services in support of the arts in the State of Kansas. The Foundation is not, nor does it seek to be, the State’s official arts agency. 

 

Kansas Citizens for the Arts, a nonprofit organization comprised of individuals and businesses who care about the future of our state, is working to build that support among the public, community leadership and elected officials.

  
Kansas Authors Club -- Since 1904, the club offers opportunity to all Kansas writers in all genres: workshops, contests, networking.

 
Kansas City Writers Group -- Since 1965, the group offers workshops, networking, support & critique opportunities to all its members.

 

Kansas Humanities Council -- creates, sponsors, and promotes humanities programs across Kansas.

Kansas Authors Club
The Kansas Authors Club welcomes creative, technical, academic and journalistic writers. Since 1904, the club has offered the opportunity to writers to share experiences and problems unique to their profession, not only to novices but also to authors of national reputation. While magazines and books may be helpful in improving one's writing skills, there is no substitute for the camaraderie enjoyed or the expertise developed when poets, playwrights and prose writers meet to listen, discuss and analyze their craft in an atmosphere of mutual support.

The Kansas Center for the Book, an organization in association with the State Library of Kansas, The Kansas Center for the Book’s role is to provide related resources through promoting past, current, and future works of Kansas authors.  Advocating the literary heritage of the state, the Center’s goal is to encourage reading for pleasure by all Kansans.  The KCFB website also provides a large and growing database of Kansas related authors.
